Who is Eligible for Services?

As a parent or guardian, you may be eligible to receive respite services from OPAL if you meet all of the following:

  • You have a child/adult dependent with an intellectual disability
  • Your child/adult dependent lives at home with you
  • You live within a 50km radius of the city of Fredericton

Becoming an Opal Client

A family can become an OPAL client by being referred to the agency. A family can be referred one of three ways:

  • Self-referral (Parent/Caregiver)
  • Agency/Professional Referral
  • Informal Referral (Friend/Relative)
